Treated Wood Waste Update
· February 16 – DTSC will begin accepting disposal facility variance applications only (application will be live by COB on February 16) · February 19 – DTSC held a second ZOOM webinar about the variance application process (Notice) o Presentation was recorded and will be posted to the DTSC website. · February 19 – At the conclusion of the webinar, DTSC began accepting variance applications from ALL six applicant categories (Variance Webpage – The reimbursement payment schedule can be found at the end of Step 2) | |

Comments/Next Steps: SB 332, introduced on February 28, is the bill to fix management of treated wood waste. It is an Assembly Environmental and Toxic Materials Committee bill; it is expected to be heard in that committee on April 7. Sources for Treated Wood Waste Information:
